Apple OS eligibility: the release announcement combines a tool model list with iOS 26.6.2 wording. Apple lists iOS 26.6.2 for iPhone 11 and later and supported iPads starting with iPad Air 3, iPad 8 and iPad mini 5; iPhone XS/XS Max/XR use an earlier iOS branch. Do not read the release wording as meaning every listed model runs iOS 26.6.2.
